A Happy Start to a Fulfilling Life

A new addition to the family is an exciting time and we want to help you make the most of your new pet. Many new owners worry about feeding, training and generally caring for their puppy or kitten properly and as every pet is different, it can be hard to determine if your pet is growing as well as it should. This is why we have introduced our Kitten and Puppy Starter Packs so that we can work with pet owners to make sure their pets get off to the best start in life.

Starter Pack Features

Our starter packs include a large number of benefits at a greatly reduced cost for owners:

  • A complete course of puppy or kitten vaccinations (both first and second vaccines).
  • One combined worming and flea treatment that lasts for one month at no extra cost.
  • Microchipping and registration (From April 2016 it is a legal requirement for ALL dogs to be microchipped).
  • Free pet insurance for one month.
  • Free monthly development and weight checks with our vets until your pets are 6 months old.
  • Nutrition and exercise advice from our vets and nurses.
  • Behavioural advice and referrals where necessary (there may be an additional charge for referrals if this is to a veterinary behavioural specialist).

This complete package can be obtained for a "one-off" fee . Please ring and ask for price. Please speak to our reception staff about joining our plan.

Please note:

  • Starter packs only cover one puppy or kitten, you will have to purchase multiple packages if you have more than one pet.
  • The package is only applicable to puppies and kittens under 5 months of age.
  • Kennel Cough (Bordetella), Leishmania and Rabies vaccines are excluded from the packs.
  • The most appropriate worming and flea regime will be decided by our vets.
  • The package does not cover the costs of neutering, diagnostics or any medical treatment that may be required in addition to the routine treatments described above.
  • Any additional appointments for unrelated treatments will incur standard charges.
  • Any items listed that are not used will not be refunded.
  • We reserve the right to revise these terms or substitute products of equal value.

We regret that at this time we do not offer puppy training classes within the practice, however, we can direct you to experienced trainers should you wish. You will have to cover training costs separately with them.

Long Term Monitoring

Our pets do not get any less important as they get older, but they do become more resilient. They may not require as close monitoring as they would when they were puppies or kittens, however, they are still as deserving of our attention and care.

We advise regular check-ups for all dogs and cats, especially as they get older. Doing so means that we can detect and treat disease in its early stages with better treatment outcomes and reduced suffering for our patients.

If you wish to continue taking advantage of the benefits of free continued monitoring, reduced price vaccinations, worming and flea treatment once your pet is over 6 months of age, consider becoming a member of our VIP Plan.
