My Healthy Pet Scheme

Our pets do not get any less important as they get older. They may not require as close monitoring as they would when they were puppies or kittens, however, they are still as deserving of our attention and care. We advise regular check-ups for all dogs and cats, especially as they get older. Doing so means that we can detect and treat disease in its early stages with better treatment outcomes and reduced suffering for our patients.

In order to help prevent diseases being missed in our patients, we have introduced the VIP Plan, a preventative health scheme designed to help us detect diseases in their early stages. Routine flea treatment, worming and vaccination as part of the plan aim to prevent infectious disease. Regular free check-ups with our vets prevents other diseases being missed such as thyroid problems, allergies, heart disease and kidney disease among others.

VIP Scheme

Our VIP Scheme includes a large number of benefits at a greatly reduced cost for owners:

  • Annual dog and cat booster vaccinations. Kennel cough is not included but can be obtained at a 10% discount.
  • Monthly combined worming and flea treatment at no extra cost (sufficient for 12 months).
  • Free 6-monthly health and weight checks with our vets.
  • Nutritional Advice
  • Please speak to our reception staff about joining our plan. Read below for more information on prices.

Please note:

  • The Healthy Pet Scheme only covers one dog or cat, you will have to purchase multiple packages if you have more than one pet.
  • The plan is only applicable to dogs and cats over 5 months of age.
  • Kennel Cough (Bordetella), Leishmania and Rabies vaccines are excluded from the packs.
  • The most appropriate worming and flea regime will be decided by our vets.
  • The plan does not cover the costs of neutering, diagnostics or any medical treatment that may be required in addition to the routine treatments described above.
  • The plan does NOT provide insurance cover for illness which means that should your pet suffer from a short or long-term problem such as heart failure, kidney failure, allergies, skin problems or other problems that requires continued treatment you will have to cover the cost of this treatment yourself. If you wish to insure your pet against these illnesses, you must contact a private insurance company directly. Please see our insurance page for more information.
  • Any additional appointments for unrelated treatments will incur standard charges.
  • Any items listed that are not used will not be refunded.
  • You can remain in the scheme for the entirety of your pet's life or your time with us, however, if you fail to meet the agreed payment plan, your VIP membership will be revoked and you will be subject to all standard charges. This means you would have to pay for vaccinations and worming treatment each time you required them.
  • We reserve the right to revise these terms or substitute products of equal value.

We regret that at this time we do not offer dog training classes within the practice, however, we can direct you to experienced trainers should you wish. You will have to cover training costs separately with them.

These packages are open to all kittens and puppies from their first day of ownership until 6 months of age. Benefits include development checks, reduced price vaccinations, worming and flea treatment.
